Data Retention, Purging & Account Deactivation Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and have taken reasonable steps to protect the confidentiality of the Personal Information.

In the process of You using this Mobile Application or availing of the existing or future services or Facility provided by the Mobile Application, You may be required to furnish information, personal or otherwise, relating to you, including information that is of a confidential nature (all such information being part of “Personal Information” as defined herein). You are urged to keep the Personal Information current so as to ensure that the services and Facility remain relevant and reach You.

Shriram Fortune Solutions Ltd. undertakes not to disclose, except as otherwise provided, the Personal Information provided by You to any person, unless such action is necessary to:

Protect and defend Shriram Fortune Solutions Ltd. or its Affiliates’ rights, interests or property

Failure to comply with this obligation shall be deemed a serious breach of the terms herein and shall entitle Shriram Fortune Solutions Ltd. or its Affiliates to terminate the services or Facility, without prejudice to any damages, to which You may be entitled to or can access otherwise.

We may, and are authorised to, share the Personal Information with a third party, including Affiliates, that is interested in serving You. You may inform us at any time not to share Your Personal Information with third parties by sending us an e-mail message at digital@shriramfortune.in. We may also use Your Personal Information for the purposes of providing You with any services to which You subscribe, and any service-related activities such as collecting subscription fees from You for those services, and notifying You or contacting You regarding any problem with, or the expiration of, such services. In this regard, it may be necessary to disclose Your Personal Information to one or more Advisors and contractors of Shriram Fortune Solutions Ltd. and their sub-contractors, but such Advisors, contractors, and sub-contractors will be required to agree to use the information obtained from us only for these purposes.

We may, and are authorized to, share part with all Personal Information related to the details and transaction history of the Customers to its Affiliates/banks/ financial institutions/credit bureaus/agencies/participation in any telecommunication or electronic clearing network as may be required by law, customary practice, credit reporting, statistical analysis and credit scoring, verification or risk management and You shall not hold Shriram Fortune Solutions Ltd. liable for use or disclosure of Personal Information.

Shriram Fortune Solutions Ltd. Affiliates may from time to time send by e-mail or otherwise, information relating to their products and services. Please be aware that other Mobile Applications that have links to our Mobile Application may collect personally identifiable information about you. This privacy statement does not cover the information practices/privacy policy of those Mobile Applications or advertisers.

1. Retention of Information

Shriram Fortune Partners stores your personal information only on servers located in India. We engage with reputable cloud service providers who adhere to stringent security standards and compliance certifications.

We shall retain only basic personal information such as your name, address, and contact information. For other personal information collected as part of our outsourcing services provided to our Partners, we collect such information upon the instructions of the Partners and thereafter transfer the same to the Partners upon completion of the preliminary onboarding.

Retention of information is carried out as per this policy and in compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements in India, as well as in accordance with our arrangements with business partners to provide services to you, unless such consent is withdrawn by you.

We retain your information as long as the purpose of its usage exists, after which the same is archived, purged, or deleted by us, except where retention is required under Applicable Laws. We also retain information even after you withdraw your consent partially or wholly, for a longer period when necessary or mandated by Applicable Laws.

Retention periods are as follows:

All non-personally identifiable information (non-PII) including SMS will be stored and used for a period of one (1) year.
All other data such as name, address, contact details, etc., collected for the purpose of onboarding and operational servicing (including DLG and similar data permitted under regulatory guidelines), will be retained for a minimum period of five (5) years.

In general terms, your information will be kept for the duration of our relationship with you and:

For the period required under Applicable Laws; and
For as long as necessary to enable you to bring a legal claim against us and for us to defend ourselves against any legal claims, generally the length of the relationship plus the applicable statutory limitation period under Applicable Laws.

2. Account Deactivation

Users of the Shriram Fortune Partners App may request account deactivation by following the steps:

Step 1: sending request to ideahelpdesk@shriramfortune.in with the subject line Data Deletion Request
Step 2: Include the device or app details you used (optional — helps us locate your data faster)
Step 3: We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days

3. Data Destruction Protocol

All data, including all copies thereof, will be destroyed upon the completion of business, legal, or regulatory requirements. Where data is stored in digital form, secure erasure of individual folders and/or files will be carried out in accordance with the Data Retention and Disposal Policy of Shriram Fortune Solutions Limited.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

The personal information collected by Shriram Fortune Solutions Limited shall not be disclosed to any other organization except under the following circumstances:

Where the disclosure has been agreed upon in a written contract or otherwise.
Disclosure to a third party on a need-to-know basis, provided that in such cases, the Company shall inform the third party of the confidential nature of the personal information and ensure that equivalent information/data security standards are maintained.
Disclosure to any governmental authority or law enforcement officers where the Company is requested or required to do so, or where it deems disclosure necessary or appropriate in order to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.
The user authorises Shriram Fortune Solutions Limited to exchange, share, or part with all information related to the user’s details and transaction history with its affiliates, banks, financial institutions, credit bureaus, agencies, or participants in any telecommunication or electronic clearing networks, as may be required by law, customary practice, credit reporting, statistical analysis, credit scoring, verification, or risk management purposes.
